A picture can say a thousand words - February 13, 2013

In November, Nick was thrilled to join the United States Women’s Soccer Team during a team practice at Jeld-Wen field.  The next night, the U.S. won their exhibition match against Ireland’s Women’s team.

Even more excited were the young women from Parkrose High School’s Varsity soccer team, who got to enjoy the practice and meet some of their idols.

Emotions ran high, and Oregonian photographer Randy L. Rasmussen captured one particularly inspiring image.

Nick was delighted to receive a framed copy of the photograph, which is now displayed proudly in his office at City Hall.

A true fan of soccer and the future of our youth, Nick was proud to have helped make this dream a reality for the young women of Parkrose High School.
