File deadline soon for foreclosed homes - January 10, 2013

Did you or someone you know lose your home to foreclosure between January 2008 and December 2011?

In February 2012, the State Attorneys General reached a joint settlement worth $25 billion with Ally/GMAC, Bank of America, Citi, JPMorgan Chase, and Wells Fargo. The five banks were found to have violated the law when processing many foreclosures nationwide.

About 2 million borrowers may be eligible for financial compensation if their home was foreclosed by one of the above five mortgage lenders. Eligible borrowers received notice in the mail to file a claim.

If you received a notice, remember to file your claim by January 18

If you believe you are eligible for relief, but have not received a claim form, contact the National Mortgage Settlement Administrator at 1-866-430-8358. To file a claim online, go to www.nationalmortgagesettlement.com
