Looking good at every age - January 9, 2013

At 93 years old, Willa Asbjornsen is testament that you can look good at every age.

Willa was in an assisted living facility, but she wanted to move back home – and regain her independence.

Her daughter Allison understood Willa’s desire to go home, but would only allow it if she began to work out with a personal trainer to regain her strength. Willa needed to be able to meet the basic needs of daily life on her own.

And that’s just what Willa did.

Willa has been working with Holly Howard, a Portland Parks & Recreation personal trainer, for 5 years now. Together they do exercises to help build strength, mobility, and flexibility. The two have become life-long friends and Willa has pushed herself to limits she never dreamed of seeing.

Way to go Willa!
