A wedding in a park? How romantic! - January 4, 2013

Couples braved the bitter cold on Wednesday as they lined up in front of the Portland Parks & Recreation offices for a chance to reserve a spot to tie the knot at one of the city’s parks this year.

On the first business day of the New Year, throngs of brides and grooms-to-be waited outside, some before sunrise, to reserve one of PP&R’s 180 wedding locations. Couples are seen on a first-come first-serve basis, so many couples decided to withstand the winter chill. Phone reservations are only taken after the last person in line has been helped.

Congratulations to all those getting married in our Parks this year!

To learn more about how to reserve a PP&R facility for your ceremony, check out the PP&R wedding brochure online.
