211Info services going state-wide - December 11, 2012

By February 13, all Oregonians will have access to 211info's support and services!

211info operates a hotline with staff at the ready to connect people to the community services available in their area.

Callers can learn more about programs that can help them stay in their homes, get energy assistance, find counseling and mental health services, and more.

When you call 2-1-1, you will always be connected to person ready to help - not an answering machine.

We are thrilled that 211's services will now extend to our entire state, offering life-saving services to both urban and rural Oregonians.

211 will reach their state-wide expansion thanks to a grant from the Ford Family Foundation. The grant provides matching funds for every dollar 211 raises from other private support. They are $50,000 away from their goal, and need all the help they can get.

If you would like to help support the expansion of 211, please visit their website and donate.

If you or someone you know needs help from 211, just dial 2-1-1 from any landline (or 503.222.5555 from any cell phone), or visit the 211info website.
