Women's winter shelter to open November 19 - November 9, 2012

Nick joined Transition Projects' Executive Director Doreen Binder and Liz, a formerly homeless woman, to announce the opening of Transition Projects' Women's Winter Shelter.

The shelter will open on November 19, and will temporarily house up to 70 women during the winter months.  Women staying at the shelter can receive support services at Transition Projects, including assistance to find safe, permanent housing, and help finding a job.

People seeking help this winter can call 2-1-1 to find emergency shelter.  2-1-1 is also accepting donations of warm clothing, blankets and more.  Visit www.211info.org for more information about how you can help.
