Honoring our Veterans - November 10, 2012

On Monday, join us for the 38th Annual Ross Hollywood Chapel Veterans Day Parade. Nick is honored to be marching this year with Boy Scout Cub Pack 47.

The parade begins at 9:45 am on Northeast 40th Avenue and Hancock Street, and continues down Sandy Boulevard.

This year, the family of Marine Corporal Coffey will serve as Grand Marshal of the parade.  Corporal Coffey was killed in action in May during his second tour in Afghanistan.

During the parade, New Seasons Market will march with shopping carts to collect socks for homeless veterans.  As you enjoy the parade, please donate socks to the New Seasons carts, which will be distributed by our community partner, JOIN.

You can also support our veterans by donating blankets to the 2nd Annual "Blanket Our Vets With Love" drive. Volunteers will collect blankets along the parade route, and A Boy Electric and Plumbing will collect blankets through the month of November.  Once again, JOIN will help distribute the blankets to needy veterans.

This Veterans Day, we would like to thank the servicemen and women who fight to preserve our freedoms and make this country great.
