Train to be a Friends of Trees crew leader - October 23, 2012

By David Nguyen

Want to learn how to properly plant a tree? Want to help other people learn how to plant trees, and lead crews of volunteers at planting events around the Portland metro area?

The local non-profit Friends of Trees is now accepting applications for their Crew Leader training this November!

Friends of Trees has been planting trees in the Portland-Vancouver and Eugene-Springfield metro areas for more than 21 years.  Since 1989, they've planted more than 400,000 native trees and plants.

Crew leaders have one of the most important roles at Friends of Trees.  Attend a training to learn how to plant trees and how to guide volunteers at planting events.  Pre-registration is required for all of the trainings and spaces are filling up fast!

Register and view the Crew Leaders training schedule.

Cant make it to the training? Friends of Trees have various volunteer opportunities year-round.  Visit the Friends of Trees website for more details.
