Proud Ground celebrates Svaboda Court grand opening - July 25, 2012

By David Nguyen

Nick was pleased to join Proud Ground today to celebrate the grand opening of Svaboda Court, a community of 12 affordable town homes in Southeast Portland.

The two-and-three-bedroom homes feature open floor plans, hardwood floors, and energy-efficient features designed to cut utility bills. The townhomes are also conveniently located near a local shopping center, schools, frequent transit, community centers, and parks.

Since 1999, Proud Ground has helped more than 150 first-time homebuyers purchase a home of their own.

Buying a home through Proud Ground is similar to traditional homeownership - you own your home, accumulate equity, can remodel, and can pass your home's ownership to your future family generations. It's different in that the purchase price is significantly lower, helping low- and modest-income families achieve the dream of homeownership.  Proud Ground homebuyers agree that if they ever sell their home, it will be at an affordable price to the next buyer, keeping the home permanently affordable.

Visit Svaboda Court's website for detailed information about these homes, including homebuyer income requirements, floor plans and photos, and pricing of individual units.
