POL Government Elected Officials Commissioner Nick Fish
Volunteer with Portland Parks this weekend - May 17, 2012

Warm spring weather brings great volunteer opportunities with Portland Parks & Recreation!

Grab your work gloves - we'd love to see you this weekend:

Springwater Corridor Trail

Saturday, May 19, 9 am – 12 pm

Join Parks, Lents Springwater Habitat Restoration Project and other community members to weed around native plants. Weeding around native plants—previously planted by volunteers—will reduce competition for nutrients and water and will help the plants to survive. Please wear long pants and long sleeves, sturdy walking shoes, and bring a water bottle.

Tools, gloves, water and treats will be provided.

For more information and to RSVP, contact Lents Springwater Habitat Restoration Project coordinator Ed Kerns at edkerns@aracnet.com or (503) 234-4947.

Errol Heights Natural Area

Saturday, May 19, 10 am – 1 pm

Please wear long pants and sturdy walking shoes and bring warm clothes, a hat and a water bottle. Tools, gloves, water and treats will be provided.
