Building Hope & Community - April 25, 2012

Nick was pleased to join Habitat for Humanity - Portland Metro/East this morning at their 12th Annual Hope Builder Breakfast.

Habitat for Humanity’s mission is to "create successful homeownership by partnering hardworking families in need with the community to build healthy, affordable homes."

Their unique model of "sweat equity" gives low-income families the opportunity to achieve the dream of homeownership. Homebuyers are required to put in at least 500 hours of sweat equity - helping build the very community in which they will live and thrive.

Habitat shared this moving video, with stories of two families who will soon move into homes of their own in East Portland.
