It's that time of year again - community garden grand openings are bringing neighbors together to to join in the celebration of new gardens!  

As part of Commissioner Fish's 1,000 Gardens initiative, committed partners have been collaborating and working hard to expand opportunities for Portlanders to grow fresh, healthful, sustainable and affordable produce.

This spring we will honor the fruits of their labor with the grand openings of three new Portland community gardens: Clarendon Community Garden, Errol Heights Community Garden, and Ed Benedict Community Garden.

Please join Commissioner Fish, Portland Parks and Recreation, and invaluable community partners as we express our joy, make merry, and share produce and other tasty treats at the following openings:

• Clarendon Community Garden - March 17th, 10:00am-12:00pm @ N Newark St & Van Houten Ave.

• Errol Heights Community Garden - May 20th, 3:00pm-6:00pm @ 4841 SE Tenino Dr.

• Ed Benedict Community Garden - June 3rd, time TBA @ SE 104th Ave & Bush St.
