Bringing the Dream to Life - February 1, 2012

Today, The Oregonian's Editorial Board writes that “Bud Clark Commons is a project that Portlanders can be proud to have brought to life.”

Opened in June 2011, Bud Clark Commons combines shelter space, a day center, and apartments under one roof. It offers homeless individuals the opportunity to transform their lives.

The 130 apartments are fully occupied, and over 4,300 people have been served through the day center.

Special thanks to my Council colleagues, and to our great partners at Home Forward, Transition Projects, and Multnomah County, for helping to bring the dream of Bud Clark Commons to life.
