Artwork needed for City Hall nature art show - September 2, 2011

Story by Sophia Kecskes

Natural area trailAre you an artist from Portland? Do you love nature or the parks in our city? If so, your art could be displayed in Portland City Hall for the month of November. Portland Parks & Recreation is seeking artwork done by local artists to show in the "Nature in our City (Parks!)" art show. All artwork must depict one of Portland's natural area parks. The show will open with a City Hall event  on Thursday, Nov. 3 pm from 5:30-9 pm. This event is  open to the public and all Portlanders are invited to attend.

At least 30% of all artist's proceeds will be donated to the Willamette River Stewardship program which provides schools with free field trips that connect students with local green spaces. Nick really appreciates the work that this program does in the community and can't wait to see the artwork in November!
