Dive-In Movies! - August 24, 2011

Story by Sophia Kecskes

Portlanders from all over town have come to know and love Movies in the Park. These movies are an amazing way for people in the community to engage with one another and have fun! Another fun movie-going experience is attending one of Portland Parks & Recreation's Movies in a Pool.

Beginning tonight, five pools will hold Dive-In Movie events. This year the movie will be "Gnomeo and Juliet," perfect for a fun night of family bonding in the gorgeous weather we're having! To make your night even more enjoyable, the pools will serve caramel popcorn and heat the water an extra couple of degrees.

Dive-In Movies will be shown at Montavilla, Creston, Sellwood, Wilson, and Grant pools. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for youth ($3.50 at Wilson.) Movies begin at about 8:00 pm.
