UPDATE: Nick and his wife Patricia had a great time last night at a celebration hosted by former State Senator Avel Gordly and the Madison South Neighborhood Association.

Portland Parks & Recreation is co-hosting two dozen National Night Out parties and festivals across town tonight, from Lents Park in East Portland to Peninsula Park in North Portland and Willamette Park in Southwest.

National Night Out events bring neighbors together in fun and positive ways, promoting neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships.

Tonight's parties mark 28 years of NNO celebrations - last year, close to 40 million people across the country participated in an NNO event!

Whether it's a block party, cookout, parade, or flashlight walk, there's sure to be something fun happening in your area!
