At Portland Parks & Recreation, our motto is "Healthy Parks, Healthy Portland." We're working to make good on that ideal by kicking the junk food out of our rec centers and bringing healthier options to events we host in our parks. 

In this morning's Tribune, Steve Law says that we're on "the vanguard" of a larger movement to replace unhealthy foods in schools, parks, and public buildings with healthier options.

Next, we're hoping to improve the nutritional value of food offered at the Rose Festival and the Blues Festival in Waterfront Park. Stay tuned for healthy options this summer!
