Yesterday, Nick, project partners, and local media got a sneak peek of soon-to-open Bud Clark Commons, "a huge bundle of hope wrapped in a sustainable envelope."
Project partners representing the Housing Authority of Portland, Transition Projects, Inc., and Walsh Construction were on hand to help explain specifics of the project's financing, the programs it will offer, and details of the LEED Platinum structure.
"We're not warehousing people," Nick explained, "we're helping people prepare for life."
"I'm thrilled," Nick told reporters yesterday. "There's no other building like this in the country."
We'll cut the ribbon on this cornerstone project June 2.
