"Many Hands" concert will support relief efforts in Haiti - September 9, 2010

This Saturday, the Multnomah Arts Center will host "Many Hands," a benefit concert for Haiti. Presented by A Child's Time to Rock, the concert will feature several artists from the "Many Hands" CD, including Randy Kaplan, Recess Monkey, and Johnny Bregar.

The event will also feature kid-friendly crafts from Tinker Toys and treats from Amiri's Lemonade Stand, which supports Mercy Corps' fund for Haiti. In case you haven't heard, four-year-old Amiri Horn set up, with his mother's help, a personal fundraising page on the Mercy Corps website to raise fund for Haitian relief efforts. So far, he's raised over $600 - and is still going strong! Be sure to say hello to Amiri on Saturday, and help him get to his goal of $1000!

The Multnomah Arts Center is located in SW Portland at 7688 SW Capitol Highway. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for children in advance, and all profits will benefit the Haitian People's Support Project and their work for the people of Haiti.
