This Saturday: Multnomah Days - August 18, 2010

This Saturday, August 21, the Multnomah Arts Center (MAC) and the Multnomah Village Business Association will host Multnomah Days, a popular Southwest Portland tradition offering fun for the whole family.

From 9:00 - 3:00 MAC will host an arts and crafts sale featuring artwork created by MAC teachers and students. All proceeds from the sale will benefit MAC programs. Portland Parks & Recreation purchased the MAC building in 1978 and opened it to the public in 1982. Since then, MAC has offered high-quality arts education to people of all ages.

Other activities include the "Biggest Little Parade," a Dog Wash at the Lucky Lab, a Street Fair, live music, and plenty of food and shopping! And new this year is the Kids' Zone, hosted by MAC. All activities, which take place at MAC's Outdoor West End and Covered Court, are free of charge!

Festivities begin at 8:00 with the Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast at Key Bank and and run all day long. MAC is located at 7688 SW Capitol Highway.
