Portland's Small Business Community
Small businesses are the backbone of Portland's local economy.
In the United States, more than half of Americans own or work for a neighborhood small business. Here in Portland, our economy is built on a foundation of small businesses – over 95% of local businesses have 50 or fewer employees.
By supporting small businesses, we can drive neighborhood vitality and growth – and increase incomes for our hardworking families.
Nick is delighted to be City Council liaison to Venture Portland - an organization focused on investing in the smart, strategic growth of Portland’s unique neighborhood business districts.
