Committee for Inter-group Understanding
Mission: Inspired by Archbishop Desmond Tutu’s lifelong work on reconciling communities, the Committee for Inter-Group Understanding works to build peace and understanding among groups that have had deeply rooted conflict and honors the need for healing around the historic and current harms of injustice and oppression.
Meeting Purpose
By the end of our time together we will
- Know one another better and understand our passion for this work
- Learn of progress with the evaluation of our project
- Understand the organizing tasks involved in hosting the Fall inter-group dialogue series
- Determine how committee members can help with the IGD series
- Understand the scope of Kristin Lensen’s work and contract
- Understand what steps to occur to renew the KLC contract.
