Basic Rights Oregon - Basic Rights Oregon is dedicated to ending discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity in Oregon.
Cascade AIDS Project - Cascade AIDS Project's mission is to prevent HIV infections, support and empower people affected and infected by HIV/AIDS and eliminate HIV/AIDS-related stigma.
Equity Foundation - Founded in 1989, Equity Foundation works to eradicate prejudice toward the sexual and gender minority communities of Oregon through granting and scholarship opportunities.
Human Rights Campaign (HRC) - This diverse volunteer group of individuals works to bring the mission of HRC to gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people and allies in the area.
In Other Words Feminist Community Center - 8 N.E. Killingsworth St., 503.232.6003 -- The only feminist bookstore in the United States to also function as a nonprofit, In Other Words serves the community with literature, as well as educational and cultural events.
Northwest Gender Alliance - A social, support and educational group for individuals who desire to explore and express another gender. The group cosponsors Esprit, an annual national conference for the transgender community.
Oregon Bears - A service club for bears or bear-identified gay men and their admirers.
Our House - A residential care facility that has provided nursing, social work and occupational therapy services for people with HIV/AIDS since 1988.
Q Center - The center builds public awareness and support, and celebrates LGBTQ diversity through art, culture and programming.
Outside In - Founded in 1968, this nonprofit helps homeless youth and other marginalized people move toward improved health and self-sufficiency and provides services for LGBTQ youth.
Just Out Magazine - Starting out in the early 1980's as a newspaper, Just Out is now published as a high-quality, glossy, monthly magazine.
Fabulous PDX - An extensive calendar of happenings in Portland's LGBT community, with sections devoted to parties, networking, support, queer youth and trans/gender events.
