Hank Miggins has lived in southwest Portland more than 25 years. Currently, he is a member of the City’s Citizen Review Committee for Police Oversight, and the Center for Airway Science. Hank has also served on the Board of Directors for the American Civil Liberties Union of Oregon; the Oregon Assembly for Black Affairs; the Board of Bar Governors of the Oregon State Bar; and other civil organizations. He was a former City Manager for the City of Spokane and is currently a mortgage broker.  Hank has held positions with Multnomah County: Animal Control Director, Deputy County Auditor, Executive Assistant to the Chair of the Multnomah County Chair of County Commission and Interim Chair of the Multnomah County Commission. While City Manager in Spokane, the city changed to a strong mayor form of government, and he gained valuable knowledge observing the ‘freeholder‘ process, which will serve him well as a member of the 2011 Charter Review Commission.  Hank was nominated to the Charter Commission by Commissioner Saltzman.
