About the Bureau of Technology ServicesTHE BUREAU OF TECHNOLOGY SERVICES (BTS) is responsible for management, policy setting, strategic planning and leadership in the use of computer, radio, and telecommunications technologies, to support the delivery of effective government services.
STRATEGIC PERSPECTIVE
BTS serves the City through strategic planning and the Anticipation of issues outlined in the Five Year IT Strategic Business Plan, the Management & Finance Five Year Strategic Plan, and the long-term plans of our customers.
CUSTOMER FOCUS
BTS serves citizens through services provided to BTS customers. Those customers include City bureaus, external governmental and non-profit organizations, and the business community. BTS will work with customers and partners to provide, within available resources, the best information technology solutions and services to meet identified business requirements.
COORDINATION & PARTNERSHIPS
As BTS strives to eliminate duplication of effort and expenditure, increase and ease access to information, and standardize tools and practices wherever possible, we will actively pursue opportunities for internal and external collaboration and cooperation.
