Josh Volk has been teaching vegetable production for the last decade and has a special interest in home garden production. His own Slow Hand Farm uses hand-scale techniques and Josh consults with gardeners and farmers on how to produce more with less. More information can be found at www.slowhandfarm.com.
Josh will cover all the basics for growing your own vegetables with details for every skill level. He'll start with planning and assessing the soil, then how to prepare ground, seed, plant, care for and harvest all sorts of annual vegetables. General techniques, as well as specific vegetables and their preferences will be covered. Time will be spent in the class room and the third class will be held outside and include demonstrations (weather permitting).
