Follow the steps. Fill out the form. Get recognition.

goto the form

All businesses in the City of Portland are being asked to complete an annual Progress Report to let the City know you are recycling at work.

The form takes only minutes to complete. Your input helps us track the City’s progress toward the 75 percent recycling goal.

Need help? Visit our Getting Started Guide to learn more about the five steps, or contact us!

After you’ve implemented the five steps and completed the Progress Report, you may request a City of Portland Recycle at Work Certified recognition seal for your Web site and/or a window decal to recognize your annual success at recycling.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does my business have to complete the City of Portland Progress Report?

All businesses, non-profit organizations and schools located within Portland city limits must complete a Progress Report annually. Property managers only need to complete forms for their office operations and not for the building(s) they manage.

Who at my business should complete the Progress Report?

The report should be completed by an individual within your organization that is familiar with your recycling practices. If your business has multiple locations, this could mean that one individual is able to complete the Progress report for each location. However, an individual at each location should be your designated a point of contact responsible for implementing your program.

Do I have to complete a Progress Report for all of my business locations?

Yes, a separate form must be completed for every business location. Still not sure? Use your BIN and RUN numbers as a guide (found on your Oregon state quarterly taxes). Submit a separate progress report for every location with its own RUN number.

I can’t complete all five steps. Should I still complete the Progress Report?

If you are hitting a stumbling block, contact Recycle at Work for help. Be sure to visit our Toolbox to access free resources and helpful information. Still not there? Send in your Progress Report to let us know which steps you’re engaged in now. Report on your recycling and waste prevention improvements next year.
