On December 20, 2006, Portland's City Council adopted a resolution creating the Sustainable City Government Partnership , a collaborative citywide effort to integrate sustainable practices and resource efficiency into municipal operations.  View the following PDF file to learn more: BIP #18 – Sustainable City Government Partnership.

 

From installing solar-powered parking meters to purchasing recycled paper, all bureaus of the City of Portland are engaged in making city government operations more cost and resource efficient.

 

The Bureau of Planning and Sustainability is working with other bureaus and with Multnomah County to identify opportunities for improvement and change our practices.
