Historic
The historical presence of macroinvertebrate communities in this area is unknown. Macroinvertebrate communities would have likely been present in any historic aquatic habitat.
Current
Field surveys conducted by the Bureau of Planning staff and ODFW biologists in 1990 found macroinvertebrate species were abundant and include various stoneflies, mayflies, caddisflies, water striders, and crayfish (City of Portland Bureau of Planning, 1991b).
Assessment
See the “Aquatic Habitat” section for information relative to alterations in habitat extent.
