The Tanner subwatershed extends from the Sylvan summit of Highway 26 (Canyon Road) to the Willamette River just north of the Broadway Bridge and includes most of Washington Park, the Oregon Zoo, and part of downtown Portland. Tanner Creek was diverted into the sewer system in the late 1800s to create land for urban development, but a few unnamed tributaries still flow in open channels in the upper portions of the subwatershed.
