Building Code Appeals

The appeal process deals with issues related to the various construction codes in effect in the City and provides a review process for proposals using alternate methods and materials of construction.

Lead-Based Paint and Asbestos Information

Please note that any building-related activities, such as renovations, repairs, painting, and demolitions, may be subject to regulations governing the handling, removal and/or disposal of asbestos and lead-based paint.

Permits for Alternative Technology

Alternative technologies that don't meet building code requirements or haven't been tested by a code-approved agency may be submitted to the Alternative Technology Advisory Committee for review and recommendation.
