City Planners within the Land Use Services Division guide applicants, citizens, and other governmental agencies through all phases of the development review process as they relate to zoning regulations. Zoning regulations are land use regulations and policies that implement community goals and protect community resources while guiding new development. Zoning regulations affect all new construction, most alterations, commercial occupancy changes, property line changes and most site development activity including some tree cutting and landscaping.
