(Portland, OR) The following service improvement changes to the Development Services Center hours of operation for permit application set-up and the intake times for New Single Family Residence Applications will be implemented: 

• The Development Services Center (Permit Center) now opens at 7:30 A.M. for the set-up only of building, site development, and zoning permit applications. All other services are available starting at 8:00 A.M.


• New Single Family Residence permit set-up only will be conducted Tuesdays and Thursdays between 1:00 P.M. and 3:00 P.M. starting Tuesday, November 2, 2010.


• All other services provided in the Development Services Center remain unchanged.

"These changes will help reduce wait times and streamline the permit intake processes for all customers," said Paul Scarlett, BDS Director, "We are constantly looking for ways to maximize our limited resources. This change provides our customers greater access to staff for over-the-counter reviews, in addition to allowing staff to serve more customers in the morning hours at the Development Services Center."
