BDS was visited by a delegation of  9 members from the City of Boise, ID, who requested a look at our operations. The group included the Building Division Manager, the Director of Development Services, various other staff and stakeholders.

The purpose of their visit was to learn about BDS operations with a focus on over the counter permitting, plan review processes and programs such as FPP, FIR and MPG.

I would like to extend my thanks to all who helped make this visit a resounding success, some of you on very short notice. Our BDS staff was helpful and friendly, true to our reputations as Portlanders. The Boise delegation was very impressed with you all, and very thankful for the opportunity.

What a great opportunity this was to "show our stuff" and help a peer organization along the way!
