On August 17th, the last day of the Summer Internship Program, Outreach Program Coordinator, Tiffani Penson treated participating IRCO and School to Work summer interns along with staff that helped make this summer's program a success to Mio Gelato in the Pearl.
For most of the students and attending staff it was their first time eating the cool, Italian and very popular ice cream treat, thus making it an enjoyable experience as a group. Before deciding on our flavors, we tasted all of the flavors amongst us ranging from fruitty to creamy to rich, which was the best part.
This summer internship has not only provided the students with education and work experience, but it included exposure to culture and popular social events, thus making it enjoyable for both students and staff. I would like to sincerely thank the students and staff on behalf of the customer service team for making this program and absolute success.
