Records are created to begin vacation process. These records have not been completed for various reasons. Records are created when a street vacation petition is sent out requesting that a public right-of-way be vacated and returned to private ownership. It includes petitioner's written request, copy of petition, and exhibit map.

Series is used to research the creation, extension and disposition of former County roads now in the city's jurisdiction. Jurisdiction of Multnomah County roads, and the road proceedings files were transferred to the City in the 1980s. Series is the county's record of creation, extension and disposition of roads. Records may contain copies of County Orders, petitions, conveyance documents, easements, street vacation proceedings, right-of-way information, realignments, extensions, deeds and correspondence. Records currently are files from Multnomah County.

Records are used to research the creation, construction and development of former Multnomah County roads. Jurisdiction of these roads (and the road files) was transferred to the City in the 1980s. Records are Multnomah County's record of creation, construction, inspection, widening and use of county roads. Files may contain construction contracts, construction/inspection records, plan sheets, traffic control records, correspondence, structural information, storm agreements, and Viewer's Reports.

Records consist of leases of subsurface of right-of-way, air rights above right-of-way and right-of-way beneath bridges and overpass.
