7208-01 PLANT COLLECTION RECORDS/REPORTS
Series is used to document the plant collection of the public gardens and arboretum at a specific point in time. Series is used to track plants and trees that are part of the inventory at the time of report. Reports include name of plant, location, cost/donation value, source of plant, information about plant, date planted, date deaccessioned, etc. Series includes reports done by species, donors, location, etc. Records are kept by each individual garden.

Records include name of plant, location, cost/donated value, source of plant, information about plant, date planted, date deaccessioned, etc. Each garden maintains their own records.

7208-03 ROSE GARDEN TESTING AND EVALUATION RECORDS

Series is created to document the method of evaluation of roses for various organizations and awards. Records include list of rose varieties that are evaluated, introduced, observation, evaluation and lists of Gold Medal Winners. Roses are currently evaluated for Gold Medal, All American Rose Society and American Rose Society. Gold Medal Program is administered by the Rose Garden.

RETENTION: Permanent- Gold Medal Winner List; retain as needed- all other records.

7208-04 F L BEACH VISIBILITY AWARD RECORDS

Series is used to administer the F L Beach Visibility Award. Records include list of winners and background information. Top prize of this award may not be won more than every three years by an individual or business.

7208-05 WEATHER DATA

Series is used to document weather conditions at the Hoyt Arboretum. Series is created as part of a weather reporting sight for Bonneville Power and local television stations. Records include monthly reporting forms that includes date, time of reading, maximum temperature, minimum temperature, 24 hour precipitation, snow on the ground, remarks, etc.
