5007-01 MEDIA ALERT RECORDS
Series is used to notify media of Fire Bureau actions and events. Series is
generally correspondence and media release forms giving a summary of actions
taken by the bureau.

5007-02 JUVENILE FIRE SETTING RECORDS
Series is used to track minors who are suspected of setting fires. Series
includes assessment of individuals who are suspected of setting fires. Series
includes follow-up records and the database provides general profiles of
juveniles who maybe setting fires. Records include name, address, date of birth,
parental information, economic status, types of fires set, loss and other
history of fire setting.
Note: Some records contained in these files may be exempt from disclosure
under ORS 192.501 through 192.502. Consult your agency's legal counsel for
assistance before releasing information.

5007-03 SMOKE DETECTOR RECORDS
Series is used to track smoke detectors installed and issued by the Portland
Fire Bureau. Records include name, address installed, type of property, owner
information, occupant information, type of work done (install battery, etc.),
information about the detector, liability form, etc.

RETENTION: 20 years; until superseded or as needed - computer records.
5007-04 SCHOOLS DATABASE
Series is used as a reference to help with fire prevention presentations.
Records includes school name, address, principal's name, and contact
information.
