8817 Modeling

8817-01 MODELING SYSTEM

Series is used to develop models of sewer (sanitary and storm) flows and depths. Series is created to establish modeling and projections on how the system currently functions and will function with changes. The system contains information on the models and includes depths, flows, projections, sewer lines (sanitary and storm), geo-technical information, performance data, graphic models, etc. Examples include SWMM, FAM, HEC, models used and developed for the CSO (Combined Sewer Overflow) project, etc.
Record Copy? Yes
RETENTION: Until superseded or no longer needed.

8817-02 MODELING MAPS AND GRAPHICS

Series is used to document the graphical representation of the modeling system. Series translates numerical information into a geographic location. Maps contain information on outfalls, sewer lines, streets, subcatchments, geographic areas, pump stations, diversions, sumps, and other related data. Series includes autocad records and old hand drawn maps. Many of the maps are color coded.
Record Copy? Yes
RETENTION: Permanent

8817-03 MODELING NOTEBOOKS

Series is created to document the existing sewer and modeling system design. Notebooks contain maps, schematics, design information, diversion structure parameters, pump stations, data files, and other related data.
Record Copy? Yes
RETENTION: Until superseded

8817-04 CALIBRATION RECORDS

Series is created to track actual flow against modeling information. Series is used to monitor network analysis and to ensure that the modeling information is changed to meet current system designs and projections. Records include actual data gathered from monitoring sites which includes graphs, spreadsheets, calculations, plots, rainfall data, locations, and other related data.
Record Copy? Yes
RETENTION: Until superseded

8817-05 HYDRA (HYDROLOGICAL) SYSTEM RECORDS

Series is used to capture "point in time" machine operation information. Series is used to capture, gather, and distribute hydrological data to other users via the bureaus computer network. Records consist of information gathered from the remote computers that operate the sewer system and report levels collected from within the system. Records include alarms, problems, rainfall data, operational messages and other related data.
Record Copy? Yes
RETENTION: Retain as needed.

8817-06 MODELING PROJECT RECORDS

Series is used to document the modeling project and process information from the modeling system. Series is created to answer specific modeling requests and is the end results of running the modeling program. Records include data files, maps, plots, flows, graphs, spreadsheets, design analysis, output/flow information, modifications, changes, scenarios, correspondence, memos, and other related data.
Record Copy? Yes
RETENTION: 5 yeas after project is built.

8817-07 MODELING REQUEST RECORDS

Series is created to track specific request to undertake a modeling project. Series is used to track work progress and keep statistics of work undertaken. Request includes project numbers, center code information, who requested project, hours involved, synopsis of information on project and other data that tracks or request the project.
Record Copy? Yes
RETENTION: 2 years
