On Wednesday, February 22, 2012, the Auditor received a prospective petition from Tre Arrow to file for the office of Mayor by nominating petition for the May 2012 Primary Election. The Elections Division approved the petition for circulation.

As an alternative method of filing as a candidate by declaration and filing fee, a candidate may file a nominating petition. A nominating petition shall contain no fewer than 100 original signatures of electors registered in the City of Portland.
