PEDICAB DRIVER PERMITS PROGRAMS AND SKILLS TESTS
Administrative Rule Adopted by Private for Hire Transportation Board of Review Pursuant to Rule-Making Authority
ARB-LIC-8.22
A. The following driver safety programs are approved by the Bureau for purposes of 16.40.080.F:
1. Company driver training programs submitted to the Bureau and approved by the Bureau.
B. The following customer service programs are approved by the Bureau for purposes of 16.40.080.F:
1. Travel Oregon’s online customer service training. A score of 80% or better is required to pass.
2. The Administrator will approve a Private For Hire Transportation-specific customer service training as this becomes available.
C. When a permit is issued, the Administrator will provide certification paperwork to the driver. Within 6 months of issuance of a driver’s permit, the driver must submit the completed certification paperwork to the Administrator as proof of completion of an approved program. Permits are automatically revoked if a driver fails to successfully complete the program within 6 months from the date permit’s issuance.
D. The Bureau will administer the skills tests described in 16.40.080.G.
E. Applicants that fail a skills test are not eligible to retake that test for at least 14 days.
