Martha joined the Audit Services Division in September 2007, after working as a Senior Budget and Policy Analyst in New York City's Independent Budget Office, as well as serving as a Research Associate for an advisory group to New York State's Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
She also has not-for-profit experience at the National Audubon Society and was Associate Director at the Oregon Environmental Council.
In her role as a Management Auditor with the Audit Services Division, Martha has worked as Auditor in Charge on audit projects and as an audit team member on others, helping to identify efficiency and effectiveness improvements in Portland's bureaus and offices.
Martha holds a master's degree from New York University, and a bachelor's degree from Oberlin College in art history.
She is a member of the Association of Government Accountants (AGA), and she serves on the Board of Directors of the Portland Chapter of AGA. Martha is also a member of the Association of Local Government Auditors (ALGA).
