Bob started with the Audit Services Division part-time in 2007, and started working for the division full-time in 2009, working on performance audits, doing statistical analysis and working on the annual resident and business surveys that are part of the annual Service Efforts and Accomplishments Report.
Bob joined the City Auditor's Office in 2000, working as a Research Associate for the Portland Multnomah Progress Board, where he worked on their research and analytical projects.
Prior to coming to work for the City he worked for the Oregon Health Division for five years in the Center for Health Statistics. Before moving to Portland, Oregon, Bob toiled for four years on and around Capitol Hill, in Washington, DC.
In his role as a Management Auditor with the Audit Services Division, Bob has worked as Auditor in Charge on audit projects and as an audit team member on others, helping to identify efficiency and effectiveness improvements in Portland's bureaus and offices.
Bob holds a master's degree from Portland State University and a bachelor's from Vassar College. He is a member of the Association of Local Government Auditors.
