Beth joined the Audit Services Division in 2006. As a Senior Management Auditor, Beth leads, manages and mentors other auditors on major audit projects, working as a senior team member or Auditor in Charge. She was Auditor in Charge for the 2013 and 2008 street paving audits and had a major role in the prior series of four audit reports on that topic, one of which won the 2006 Silver Knighton Award for Best Audit from the Association of Local Government Auditors. She served as Auditor in Charge for an audit of the Water Bureau’s infrastructure asset management, and an audit of emergency response times. Her current assignments and past audit work also involve procurement and contract management.
Previously Beth worked for the Oregon State Department of Environmental Quality as a Natural Resources Specialist, for three years, on improving water quality in the Willamette River and its tributaries. She also worked at CH2M HILL for 17 years as an Engineering Manager and Engineering Technician, managing all phases of interdisciplinary civil and regulatory compliance projects for private and public sector clients, performing civil design and managing administrative functions.
She holds master's and bachelor's degrees from Portland State University, and an associate's degree from Yakima Valley College.
Beth is a Certified Internal Auditor, a Certified Government Auditing Professional, and a Certified Construction Auditor, and she is a member of the Association of Local Government Auditors, the Institute of Internal Auditors, and the National Association of Construction Auditors.
