Final Administrative Rules for City of Portland Earned Sick Leave Ordinance Now Available
Today, the City of Portland released the final Administrative Rules for Ordinance #189526, passed by the Portland City Council unanimously on March 13, 2013. The Ordinance will require employers to provide Earned Sick Time for all employees working at least 240 hours within the City limits in a calendar year. The Ordinance goes into effect January 1, 2014.
The City Attorney’s office worked with Commissioner Fritz and her staff on the Final Administrative Rules. The rules are now posted at: http://www.portlandonline.com/fritz/index.cfm?c=55242
