Downtown on Thanksgiving Weekend? Here's What You Need to Know. - Printable Version - November 21, 2012 - 0 Comments

Happy Thanksgiving from the Office of Mayor Sam Adams! Here are the parking and transit changes you should know about during the holiday weekend:

  • SmartPark Garages will close at 12:00 AM on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 22, reopening on Friday November 23, 2012 at the following times:

     

    Southwest 3rd Avenue and Alder - 11:00 P.M. Thursday, November 24

    Southwest 4th Avenue and Yamhill - 5:00 A.M. Friday, November 25

    Southwest 10th Avenue and Yamhill - 5:00 A.M. Friday, November 25

    Southwest 1st Avenue and Jefferson - 7:00 A.M. Friday, November 25

    Northwest Naito Parkway and Davis - 7:00 A.M. Friday, November 25

    O’Bryant Square - 7:00 A.M. Friday, November 25

    The Southwest 3rd Ave and Alder garage is re-opening early to accommodate Black Friday early shoppers.  

  • TriMet buses, MAX Light Rail, and Portland Streetcar are running on Sunday schedules and customer service offices will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. WES trains will not run on Thanksgiving Day.
  • On street parking meters will be free throughout the City on Thanksgiving Day, but will operate on regular schedules Friday through Sunday.
