The Rose Petal Fountain is Rollin... - Printable Version - May 6, 2008 - 4 Comments

The Rose Petal fountain is up and running for the spring season.Designed and installed in 1978, John Bee has this Portland archive up and flowing for the spring season. The Rose Petal fountain, is probably one of the bureau's lesser known fountains, as it lives at SE 106th & Stark on a small strip of land called Park 51 or Stark Street Island, a bit further out than the rest of our municipal fountains.

This is the bigest ripoff I have ever seen.
This municipality should go to prison for ripping of its customer s

Where else in America do you get charged for the rain water that runs of you roof and grass.  This is such a rip off.
and if the rest of the customers had the nuts we could fight this. We are getting ripped off every month.  Who er thought of this should be removed and shot. ut why waste a bullit.  lets just beat the ---- out of them.  Come after me if you want.  I work for a local media and we would love to bring you on air!

My young son loves fountains and we have a routine fountain walk that we do downtown.  He even remembers the dates that they are turned on.  So we were wondering why the Lovejoy and Chimney fountains aren't on yet?
We think the fountains in Portland add to the beauty and uniqueness of the city.

Fountain man John Bee says the Chimney fountain will be back up as soon as he gets a chance to regrout it, hopefully next week! There are also several loose bricks and mortar that needs to be replaced.
