Sexual Minorities Roundtable (SMRT)
The mission of the Sexual Minorities Roundtable is to work with the Bureau to improve relationships, respect, cooperation and crime reporting in the sexual minority community. The Roundtable strives to eliminate a fear of police within their community.
The Roundtable elects co-chairs and anyone is free to attend and speak. The Roundtable has conducted surveys within their community asking about harassment and crimes that often go unreported. The Roundtable started in 1992.
Assistant Chief Bret Smith meets with SMRT on the second Tuesday of each month at the Justice Center in the Chief's Office Conference Room 1526, from 12:00-1:30 p.m.
