Ladybug Nature Walks (ages 2-5)
For preschoolers and parents. Explore nature in Portland Parks with trained naturalists! All walks begin at 10:00 AM on Fridays and Saturdays, February through October, rain or shine. $3 per preschooler, no charge for adults. For more info, call 503-823-3601. 2009 Schedule

Honeybee Hikes (ages 2-4)
For children and their parents. Now through October 28, fun hikes at Leach Botanical Garden every Wednesday, 10:00-11:00 AM. Meet in front of the Manor House, rain or shine, and explore the garden and its inhabitants. There will be a weekly theme, with complementary activity or story. Families are welcome to bring a snack and enjoy the garden on their own following the hike. $2 per child, no charge for adults. For more info, call 503-823-3601. |
Nuts About Nature! (ages 3-5)
An outdoor nature preschool program that combines nature themes with developmentally appropriate skills and kindergarten readiness. Each session meets once a week on either a Tuesday or Friday at selected sites, including Hoyt Arboretum, Sellwood Park, Sellwood Riverfront Park, Mt Tabor Park, Gabriel Park, and Whitaker Ponds Natural Area.
