The mission of the I&R Program is to simplify community access to services and information by providing timely, accurate information in a helpful and competent manner.

The City of Portland/Multnomah County Information and Referral Line is a central source for basic information and referral to city and county programs, services and employees. Our number is (503) 823-4000. The line is open Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM. We also help walk-in customers at the Portland Building front desk at 1120 SW 5th Ave and at City Hall at the Office of Neighborhood Involvement office in Room 110.This center also responds to email inquiries from the city of Portland's homepage, at cityinfo@ci.portland.or.us.
The Information and Referral Center helps connect citizens with City and County services. City/County Information and Referral handles approximately 15,000 phone calls and 3,000 walk-in customers every month. We maintain a database with more than 1,000 service records and 10,000 employee records.
